Introduction: Building Trust in a Borderless Digital World
As digital transformation accelerates across sectors, cybersecurity has evolved from an operational function into a strategic pillar. For over 15 years, my journey has been about building trust, enabling governance, and embedding risk resilience across financial services, fintech, and global technology ecosystems. From internal audits to global compliance and IT-GRC leadership, I’ve led initiatives that balance agility with assurance — safeguarding enterprise value in a hyper-connected world.
Early Foundations: From Quality Analyst to Compliance Strategist
My professional evolution began with foundational roles in operations and quality assurance at firms like NorthgateArinso, Credit Suisse, and Lehman Brothers. These formative years shaped my understanding of systems thinking, operational controls, and business continuity — critical aspects for anyone entering the world of information security.
At Euronet Worldwide, I stepped into audit and compliance leadership, managing regulatory alignment and security certifications for complex financial systems — including PCI DSS and ISO standards. It was here I began embedding frameworks like ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 into daily operations, ensuring security wasn’t a checkbox — it was a culture.
Leadership in Financial Services: Redefining Cyber Risk at Scale
My time with YES BANK and AGS Transact Technologies marked a defining phase in my leadership journey. As AVP and Manager of IT Security, I built and led teams responsible for enterprise security posture, vendor risk assessments, internal audit programs, and compliance management across banking channels and ATM ecosystems.
Risk management in banking is not only about regulatory compliance — it’s about protecting trust. By integrating security governance, policy frameworks, and continuous control monitoring, we ensured resilience at every level — from customer-facing interfaces to backend infrastructure.
Enterprise Impact: Governance and Cybersecurity at Mediaocean
Currently, I serve as Director – Security & Compliance at Mediaocean, a global martech leader. Heading the APAC security function, I’ve helped shape an IT-GRC framework that supports agile delivery, global policy alignment, and proactive risk mitigation.
Leading ISO27001 implementation, driving internal audit strategy, and overseeing vendor assessments across cloud and on-prem environments, my goal is to embed security into innovation — not stand in its way.
I also recognize the importance of industry certifications in aligning practice with standards. Programs such as the CISM Certification Course and the MBA in Cyber Security offer modern leaders a way to formalize, deepen, and operationalize their knowledge in fast-moving threat landscapes.
Future Focus: Beyond Compliance to Adaptive Resilience
With threats evolving in scale and sophistication, future-ready security leaders must adopt a mindset of adaptive governance. I believe the next wave of IT leadership lies at the intersection of risk intelligence, automation, and integrated compliance — capabilities that must be built into enterprise DNA.
Continuous learning remains my compass — from leading audits to pursuing an MBA in Cybersecurity. The future belongs to cybersecurity leaders who combine technical depth, regulatory fluency, and a strategic business lens.
Conclusion: Securing Innovation with Integrity
From operations to executive leadership, my journey has been grounded in one conviction — security enables trust, and trust powers progress. In every boardroom conversation or audit trail, the goal remains the same: protect value, enable growth, and build secure digital ecosystems that inspire confidence.
To emerging cybersecurity professionals: lead with integrity, architect with foresight, and govern with purpose.
